As we scale up our digital infrastructure and paid acquisition strategies, we are seeking a highly talented Web Developer & Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Specialist to enhance our platform’s technical core and turn traffic into customer conversions.
JOB DESCRIPTION
In this hybrid technical and analytical role, you will be directly responsible for the health, speed, and conversion efficiency of our e-commerce storefront.
You will balance hands-on front-end development with analytical performance tuning—optimizing data collection, minimizing friction in the user journey, and resolving technical performance gaps.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performance & Speed Optimization: Analyze and optimize technical loading performance, focusing intensely on Core Web Vitals (specifically improving Largest Contentful Paint – LCP, First Input Delay, and Cumulative Layout Shift) across both mobile and desktop views.
- Analytics & Tracking Integration: Deploy, audit, and maintain advanced event tracking setups using Google Tag Manager (GTM), Google Analytics 4 (GA4), and Microsoft Clarity to map absolute user behaviors, heatmaps, and funnel leakages.
- CRO Execution & A/B Testing: Identify conversion friction across home, product, and checkout pages. Strategize, implement, and analyze structured data-driven layout changes or A/B testing protocols to maximize sales conversion rates.
- Technical SEO Support: Resolve site audit issues, remove script crawl bottlenecks, and manage structured metadata (Schema Markup for Products, FAQ, and Ratings) to support search engine rich snippet visibility.
- Custom Landing Page Development: Build and code lightning-fast, high-converting promotional landing pages tailored for targeted holiday marketing campaigns and product launches.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of active experience in E-commerce Web Development mixed with data-centric Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) practices.
- Technical Proficiency: Exceptional command of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and specialized custom script management on standard e-commerce architectures (Shopify, WooCommerce, or custom platforms).
- Analytics Competency: Proficient in configuring clean data flows within Google Tag Manager, custom GA4 conversion events, and decoding sessions on Microsoft Clarity.
- Optimization Metrics: Strong practical knowledge of browser rendering processes, asset compression, lazy loading techniques, and fine-tuning server load parameters for optimal LCP score responses.
- Communication & Work Style: Strong English communication skills to align on technical initiatives. High self-discipline to operate independently under a freelance/part-time framework with clear milestone shipping schedules.
